Roadside tourist stop at a 20 m waterfall on the Chuscal stream, on the road between El Retiro and La Ceja. The municipality describes surrounding restaurants and grocery shops and calls it tourism heritage of Antioquia.
Main plaza of El Retiro and its principal social meeting place. Designed in 1932, with a stone fountain added in 1972 and a ceiba planted in 1978. Redesigned in 2021. The municipality also highlights El Central, a general store founded in 1916.
200-hectare cloud-forest reserve in El Retiro on the Envigado boundary, with a 2.3 km visitor trail and four viewpoints. Visitors must obtain an entry permit from the municipal agro-environmental office at least eight days in advance.
