How MyParcero.ai chooses and checks places

What we list and why
A place is listed when four things are true:
- Real: the name is confirmed and its operating status was checked. Places we could not confirm are marked “Confirm on their site” and are never featured.
- Linked: its official link works.
- Sourced: a named source other than the business itself, from a reputable publication or official tourism body, lists it. Public institutions may rest on their own official site.
- Relevant: it is useful to visitors and does not involve exploitation or glorify narco-culture.
Featured places are a small set chosen for category coverage and named by at least 2 independent publishers other than the business itself. Featuring is not paid for and is not a ranking.
Where information comes from
We use guidebooks and travel publications (Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, Fodor's, Time Out, National Geographic and similar), official tourism bodies and public institutions, and government travel advisories. Each business's own site is the primary source for its address, offering and links, but it never supports a listing on its own. Tripadvisor and Wikivoyage can confirm a record but never support it alone.
Many records cite the Medellín Convention & Visitors Bureau, the city's destination-marketing body. We treat a record corroborated only by the bureau as weaker independent evidence than one named by a guidebook or travel publication.
Known gap: at launch, some listed records rest only on Tripadvisor or Wikivoyage, or on publishers not named above. They stay listed while we decide whether to accept those publishers or hide the records until a supporting source is added.
We do not use personal blogs, SEO listicle farms, Reddit or forums, scraped aggregator pages, or AI-generated content.
How often we check
Links are re-checked automatically every week. Every record is re-verified at least every 120 days. Anything older shows “Checked a while ago. Confirm on their site.”
How this guide is compiled
We compiled 276 records and 683 facts on 2 Oct 2026 with AI-assisted research. Automated agents collected candidates from published sources; separate verification agents opened each official link and cited source and recorded whether the place is verifiably operating. 46 of the 276 are recorded as unclear. 267 of the 276 are published in the guide; the rest are held back and never shown.
Review status
Search coverage was limited, so some areas are thinner than others. Errors can be reported through the corrections form on each place's page.
Editorial vs. Sponsored
Listed on stated sources. Not paid for.
Pays for priority placement. Always labeled. At most one per chat answer and per search, never above position 3.
No ratings
We don't show star ratings. We show why a place is listed and where that comes from.
Corrections and removal
Spot something wrong, or want a listing changed or removed? Open the place's page and choose “Report a problem” or “Claim or correct this listing”. We review requests within 5 business days and remove a listing on request.
